ROHS Directive Declaration

(Restriction of use of certain hazardous substances)

Dear Sirs,

Further to your recent communication regarding the ROHS Directive we wish to confirm the following;

The products that we currently supply i.e. Silicone Sponge in a variety of extruded forms, do not and will not contain prohibited or declarable substances as specified under the above ROHS Directive, which are as follows; Lead, *Cadmium, Mercury, Hexavalent Chromium, Polybrominated Biphenyls, Polybrominated Diphenyl Ethers (EU-Directive 2002/95/EC & 2002/96/EC) and Azodicabonamide (EU-Directive 2004/1/EG & 2002/72/EG).

*Our Pigment Supplier has advised that there may be a small trace of Cadmium in both the Red and Red Iron Oxide colours. However it is not a deliberate addition but may occur naturally.  If present though it would only constitute 1ppm (parts per million) of the pigment.

NB. The average amount of Red or Red Iron Oxide used in our product mix is approximately 1% of the total mix.  No other colours in our range are affected.

Regards,

T.  J.   Brown – Managing Director.
